(Port) Wine of the month February 2023: Dow Vintage Port 1955

It only rarely happens to drink a fantastic old Vintage Port from the original cellar of the producer with the winemaker from two different bottles. This so happened to me with the great Dow Vintage Port 1955. Dark-red color with some orange reflections and a more intense core. Toffee, honey and malty note in the nose, still quite powerful. Very well structured acidity on the palate with chocolate, honey, hints of tobacco and a slightly spicy finish. Long aftertaste. 19/20
